Time Out Live: Jerron "Blind Boy" Paxton plays "Lost My Appetite for Chicken"
Singer Jerron "Blind Boy" Paxton is just 26 years old—but you wouldn't know it from the sound of his music. Originally from Los Angeles, now based out of Ridgewood, Queens, Paxton performs blues, jazz, folk and other American-born styles with the skill of an old pro. He's no mere nostalgia act though: What makes the century-old songs vital is Paxton's equal adeptness at a variety of instruments and his captivating stage presence. At our live session he quickly began working the crowd and taking requests, and before it was done he'd cycled through banjo, guitar and fiddle. http://www.timeout.com/newyork/music/jerron-blind-boy-paxton-plays-time-out-live
