Nyad Back in the Water, Raising Money For Sandy Victims
From Cuba to Florida to New York City's Herald Square, long distance swimmer Diana Nyad is back in the water. This time the 64-year-old is holding a 48-hour continuous "Swim for Relief" fundraiser. Doing laps in a 40-yard, 42,000-gallon pool, Nyad is raising money for people still struggling one year after Hurricane Sandy. Funds will go to AmeriCares, a nonprofit global health and disaster relief organization that delivers aid across the United States.
