Rhys Chatham brings 200 guitars to the Lincoln Center

This weekend's big event was undoubtedly Rhys Chatham's A Crimson Grail for 200 Electric Guitars, performed at the Lincoln Center Saturday night. Ten thousand people squeezed into Damrosch Park, a good many of whom turned up for last year's event, which was canceled at the last minute (and we mean the very last minute) due to an epic downpour. Shoes were sodden and a fair few hearts were broken that night. So teaming Chatham's piece with the postpunk icons named Liquid Liquid this year seemed a risky business. For more in Music, visit
