Three rare chicks hatch at Bronx Zoo

A rare breed of bird has hatched at the Bronx Zoo: Three maleo chicks emerged from their incubated eggs after approximately 70 days of being underneath river sand heated by electricity from below. Maleo birds are endangered, and the Bronx Zoo is reportedly the only place you can see them except for their native island of Sulawesi in Indonesia.
